I have been using this for a few years, but always forget to write because quite frankly there is almost zero hassle and it does anything and more I need it to do.
Love can email dates from my calendar, (especially course assignments, projects and test due dates) to create tasks. Or just send emails in general to create tasks and reminders. I like how I can create projects with breakdown of sub tasks. The colour codes are prominent and show the number of STs so there is no way you can just not see and forget about them.
So awesome also at a moments notice I can just write a word, couple of words, press enter and deal with assigning all of my million ideas or things to do later, without forgetting about them. The URL schemes make crossing over to other apps, contacts, emails, calendars, etc...so super easy. I also love jotting off ideas or Todos as they come to mind in the app "Drafts" and porting over to Todo. Batch editing is great especially after just emailing a semesters worth of assignments over or having Siri create a bunch of repetitive tasks and then need to add to several different projects or check lists. Instead of a hundred steps, it is like 1 to 5 depending on your details.
I know I am forgetting a lot but frankly there is a lot and even though I personally do not edit from the web, the Siri and email to task feature make the inexpensive yearly fee more than worth it. Having a focus list and star feature is also key for me because I tend to see everything as high priority and needing a star but my focus is set for due date so no matter how high I set something the truth will always be in the focus list :)
Also worth mentioning, is I use this on both my iPhone 7, iPad Pro and now, MacBook Pro and I have never had sync issues with the cloud and use it almost 24/7 with cell or wifi. You can also have unlimited reminders exactly when you want them; time and date. Great app and I have tried most of the apps in the same genre that are much more costly and none come close :)
As for the with the issue of of losing all of their information, if you have everything backing up and syncing to the cloud service, you should be able to retrieve your information. I say this because I thought I lost everything too after an update but all I had to do was resign into my account and that refreshed my devices. Hope that helps. One should always do a back up at least every two weeks and especially before an important update to anything new.
As for expensive, I guess everything is relative but if you have enough to invest in Apple products instead of the cheaper alternatives, then $20 a year is hardly much for a developer to ask for.
And those who dont want to be bothered with a prompts for a review, Todo asks occasionally in a very discrete manner, plus how else are they expected to advertise their product when no one takes the time to write reviews.
Now, Cloud service is free, so the $20 goes towards the extra benefits, plus covers my iPhone, iPad and Mac. Thats a really great deal.
