Not impressed

Another case of a dev team fixing something that didnt need fixing. The old (as of today) Todo was a great app that did what it was designed to do with a minimum of extraneous bloat. And the colors were perfect (that had something to do with being able to select a custom background image).

The new Todo is white...very white and not intuitively arranged and not pleasing to the eye. Did I mention it is very white? I get snow blind looking at the main screen for more than a second.

I know tastes vary and some people may well be happy with the new app. But I cant help noticing how many unique and functional apps get upgraded to flat, very bright and very white generic iOS/Google style mobile apps that all look alike and blend into each other. Its a shame that rigid conformity rules the day and creatively developed apps are an engendered species.

My review is hardly going to transform Todo back into its pre-June 1, 2016 iteration, but I do hope some improvements are made. Maybe start by giving users back the option of picking a background image of their choosing...and adding contrast to that horrible blinding snow field.

Oh and now the FOCUS list is now rebranded a "smart" list and is useless without a Todo cloud subscription. Todo s days on my device are likely coming to an end.
